RESUMEN EN INGLÉS DE ARABIA SAUDITA

Although Saudi Arabia is a rich and powerful country whose influence extends throughout the Islamic world and the West, their society is still for us closed and enigmatic. During the 20th century its history has been dominated by the development of the formation of the State and the construction of the nation. After World War I and the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, Ibn Saud delivered a long and arduous campaign to join from the four corners of the Arabian peninsula a hugely disparate tribal people, until the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was born in 1932. Madawi al - Rasheed runs the extraordinary history of this country since the time of the UAE, in the 19th century, to the Gulf war, in the 1990s, and, recently, the celebration of the centenary of the unit. This is a book that will be very valuable for students, journalists, responsible for the development of policies and for all those who seek to understand the enigma of Saudi Arabia.

RESUMEN EN INGLÉS DE LAS ISLAS CAIMÁN

Cayman Islands (in English, Cayman Islands) are an overseas British territory dependent on the United Kingdom and located to the Northwest of Jamaica, between the island of Cuba and the coast of Honduras, in the waters of the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the 16 Non-Self-Governing Territories under the supervision of the United Nations Decolonization Committee, in order to eliminate colonialism. They were colonized by British explorers in the 18th and 19th centuries and began to be administered by the Government of Jamaica since 1863. When Jamaica won its independence in 1962 the Cayman Islands were to be administered as the territory of the British Empire.

RESUMEN EN INGLÉS DE BANGLADESH

The food crisis suffered by Bangladesh since 2007 has been aggravated due to the inefficient function of the distribution of food, activity corrupted by speculators and dealers. You can only adjust prices and ensure the supply of food to the population if the State takes control of the market.Bangladesh remains an underdeveloped country (according to the PAM1), which imported 2 million tons of grain per year. In addition, about half of the population lives below the poverty line and 20% of it is in a situation of extreme poverty. These people fail to consume more than 1800 calories a day, suffer from chronic malnutrition and are the weakest against natural disasters that regularly affect the country. This situation is puzzling since Bangladesh produces about 25 million tons of grain a year and harvests of potatoes, corn and rice are also good.Determinants of a crisis out of the Comunexisten several reasons why the price of food rose way sky-high between 2007 and 2008: in 2007 the country suffered two floods and the passage of Cyclone sidr just before the harvest. According to the bengali population, after the harvest and flood are very beneficial since renewed fertility of the soil, favor fishing, facilitate transport by rivers..., but they are destructive if they occur before the harvest. In addition, it is the rise in the price of oil which had significant repercussions on national and international rice price. Finally, note the action of wholesalers and speculators that greatly aggravated the situation. Thanks to the complicity with politicians and other officials, accumulated large amounts of provisions with the aim of creating a false sense of scarcity that caused the rise in prices.Responses of the population and the Government to the crisis for offset the higher prices, the poorest sectors of society have focused on two strategies depending on the area: in the villages, farmers have increased to the maximum its legumes both for human consumption and for livestock production, which has allowed them to survive the crisis. In the city is has been used massively subsidized food stores. The State, for its part, has been forced to buy 3.2 million tons of food to be sold at affordable prices.Grants with the aim of helping 65 million farmers to cope with the rise in the price of the seeds, fertilizers, fertilizers have also be unlocked...The restructuring of rural and urban planning should add to all these measures to increase the area for cultivation.
